Alliance Francaise Goa, in collaboration with banglanatak dot com, organized a workshop on Clay Dolls (September 1, 2015) as a part of Heritage Education programme. Clay Dolls of Ghurni, popularly known as the Krishnanagar dolls are known worldwide for their finesse. The dolls are made with clay sourced from the local river, Jalangi. The workshop was conducted by 2 artisans from Ghurni, Saikat Mandal and Meghnad Mandal. The artisans demonstrated the process and also spoke in details about the doll making process.
